Virtual Session: Systemic Design, Place-based Capital, Community Finance & Social Innovation

Back in December I wrote a piece about Systemic Investing and it garnered some interesting energy online. At the same time as I've been exploring this idea through work in an urban setting (Challenge Precinct) and a community setting (Upper Yarra / Millgrove), I have also been looking at allied concepts of community finance, place-based capital, and the funding models for regional innovation ecosystems, living labs and social innovation labs.

Whether it's the Future of Living Labs gathering, regional innovation orchestration models, Ecotone organising, or anything between - I feel like I keep coming back to the importance of getting the finance and funding model right, to unleash the kind of collective action we need more of.

But how to learn more?

Well, I was delighted when Geraldine Cahill, a friend and collaborator currently living in Canada (who I met at Future of Labs) let me know she would be in Australia this March. G is currently working on a really interesting Community Finance deep dive, and I thought getting her together with some of our awesome Australian folks exploring these aligned ideas would be a a great excuse to learn more.

Et voilà! A session with amazing humans was born and will be online for you to tune into soon.
